How do I mount my H:\ drive and M:\ drive via Windows?

Note: mounting your M:\drive will also mount your home directory to M:\mtucifs_home

  1. Connect to the Campus VPN (https://vpn.mtu.edu).

Windows Vista/7 instructions:

  1. Click the Start Menu > Computer.
  2. Click Map Network Drive.
  3. Chose a drive letter, enter \\multidrive.iso.mtu.edu\multidrive for the folder path and check Connect using different credentials.
  4. Enter your ISO credentials in the format MTU\username and password and click OK.

 

Windows 8/10 instructions:

  1. Click the Start Menu > File Explorer.


     
  2. Click This PC.
  3. Click Computer > Map Network Drive.


    FOR YOUR H: DRIVE:
  4. Select the H: drive letter from the dropdown. Enter \\homedir.mtu.edu\home and check Connect using different credentials.

FOR YOUR M: DRIVE:

  1. Select the M: drive letter from the dropdown then enter \\multidrive.iso.mtu.edu\multidrive and check Connect using different credentials.
  2. Enter your ISO credentials in the format MTU\username and password and click OK.
