How do I obtain the GlobalSign certificates of authority?

Obtaining the GlobalSign Certificates of Authority*

  1. Download the GlobalSign Root Certificate
    1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://support.globalsign.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1426602-globalsign-root-certificates and go to the Root-R1 cert. Click "View in Base64".
    2. Copy and paste the characters within the box (including the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----and the ----END CERTIFICATE----) into a text editor.
    3. Save the file as root.cert.
  2. Download the GlobalSign Intermediate Certificate
    1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1219303-organizationssl-intermediate-certificatesand go to SHA-1 G2. Click "View in Base64"
    2. Copy and paste the characters within the box (including the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----and the ----END CERTIFICATE----) into a text editor.
    3. Save the file as intermediate.cert.
  3. Concatenate the two certificates into one file (‘cat root.cert intermediate.cert > chain.cert’). Save the chain.cert file in a place on your computer where you will be able to find it later. Verify that ----END CERTIFICATE---- and ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE---- are on separate lines.
