How do I add Husky-BW/Husky-Color printers to a Windows off-domain computer?

Michigan Tech IT has created a PowerShell script that will automatically install Husky-BW/Husky-Color drivers.

Instructions for downloading and installing the script

  1. Download the script at: https://goo.gl/bjwwi3. You'll be prompted to log in with your ISO credentials. Click on the download arrow in the top right corner of the window.
    google download window
Google will tell you the file is too large to scan for viruses. Click Download anyway.

  2. Once the download is complete, navigate to your Downloads folder. Click the folder icon on your taskbar, click Downloads on the left sidebar. Right-click on the ZIP file. Select Extract All… from the Right-Click menu. If you have problems extracting and running the program from the Downloads folder, you will want to create a folder on the C:\drive and name it "Temp". Once C:\Temp has been created, you will move your file to C:\Temp, right-click on the ZIP file and select Extract All.
    extract zip file
  3. Select Extract in the Windows Extraction Tool.
    extract files step two
  4. The files that are extracted will appear in a content window.
  5. From the extracted files, and double-click on Setup.exe
    click on setup file
  6. The PowerShell script will run, and a popup will appear with installation status updates. Please do not quit the process or shut off your computer; when the installation is complete, a HTML file will appear with a list of everything the script has completed. The printers are now installed and ready to use.
  7. At the end of the installation, you will see a question asking you about start up of the PaperCut client.  We recommend that you have it launch on computer start up, but you can choose to launch it manually if you wish.
